Abdominal Aorta £80

This scan checks the diameter of the Aorta which can develop an Aneurysm or swelling with increasing age.

This is more common in Men and generally would not occur below the age of 55.

An abdominal aneurysm if diagnosed early can be monitored and then surgically repaired if it enlarges over a certain size.

If it is not diagnosed and grows very large, it can burst with a fatal outcome.
